Fire Door Supply & Installation
Straightforward. Experienced. Done Properly.
Fire doors aren’t something you guess at. When they’re required, they need to perform. That comes down to correct specification, professional installation, and clear documentation.
We’re a family-run business based in Shropshire. We’ve been selling and fitting doors since 1972. Fire doors have long been a core part of our work, with installations led by Stuart Marshall, UK Fire Door Certified.
Fire Door Questions We’re Asked Most Often
- What is an FD30 or FD60 fire door?
- When are fire doors required in the UK?
- How often should fire doors be inspected?
- Can existing fire doors be repaired?
- Who is responsible for compliance?
Experience That Shows in the Work
We carry out fire door fitting in homes, HMOs, apartment blocks, and commercial buildings throughout Shropshire and the West Midlands.
Our team understands UK fire door regulations and how to install doors so they stand up to inspection. We don’t rush work — we focus on getting it right.
Fire Doors Are a Complete System
A compliant fire door includes more than the door leaf. It must include the correct frame, intumescent and smoke seals, compliant hinges, closers, glazing (where fitted), and correct tolerances.
We supply and install FD30 and FD60 fire doors, advising on what is appropriate for the building rather than recommending a one-size-fits-all approach.
Our Installation Approach
- Frames prepared correctly
- Clearances checked and recorded
- Intumescent and smoke seals fitted properly
- Compliant ironmongery used
- Fire-rated glazing installed to manufacturer guidance
Where manufacturers specify approved methods, we follow them carefully to maintain compliance and support warranty requirements.
Fire Door Remedial Work
Not every issue requires replacement. We carry out fire door remedial work including:
- Adjusting gaps and tolerances
- Replacing seals
- Upgrading hinges or closers
- Addressing inspection failures
Where possible, we aim to bring existing fire rated doors back into compliance before recommending replacement.
Clear Records, Not Guesswork
For every fire door installed or remediated, we provide installation records including:
- Door location and fire rating
- Certification references
- Installation details
- Date of work
This supports landlords, managing agents and property owners in maintaining ongoing fire safety compliance.
